Dear Parents,
We have drastically changed the kindergarten registration procedure for the upcoming 2010-2011 school year. Please come to the Grand View office to fill out the Pre-Enrollment Information Sheet. Please bring all necessary documentation: the child’s original birth certificate and immunization record as well as three separate original utility bills. (In order to be more efficient please bring in the originals and one photocopy of each.) Please feel free to arrive anytime between 7:00a.m. and 4:00 p.m., with exception of the beginning and end of our school day (7:45a.m. to 8:30a.m. and 1:45 p.m. to 2:30p.m.). All new kindergarten parents will be registering using our on-line registration database, Infosnap. After the office staff has input all pre-enrollment forms, parents will be e-mailed an Infosnap “snapcode” (registration number). This is the code needed to register students on the district’s website at www.mbusd.org. It is the parent’s responsibility to complete the on-line registration process in its entirety.
Manhattan Beach Unified School District continues to have increased enrollment in various grade levels at all school sites. The district determines school assignments to accommodate enrollment patterns and, therefore, school site preferences cannot be guaranteed. Students assigned to a school other than their school of residence will be put on a waiting list pending availability at that school.
