Weapons Policy

MBUSD has a zero-tolerance policy regarding student possession of any weapon, including guns, knives, pocket knives, BB guns, air guns, laser pen pointers, matches, bullets, firecrackers, cap guns, water pistols, replicas of weapons (toys) and other items that can be used as weapons.

Students who bring such articles to school or participate in their use at school, regardless of ownership, will be suspended and may be expelled under Education Code 48900.

Possession of an imitation firearm can be considered a criminal offense if it is openly displayed or exposed in a public place.
