Walk or Wheel to School Wednesday

LEAVE THE CAR AT HOME (and the Stress) WEDNESDAY MORNING Morning drop-off can be source of irritation and frustration when you drive to school. Take a breather this Wednesday and walk/wheel to school with your child on International Walk to School Day using these safe walking routes. This global event began in 1997 and over time has become part of a movement for year-round safe routes to school. On 10/4 Mrs. Doyle and Mrs. Witzansky are looking forward to walking with students in the morning, and volunteers from Beach Cities Health District and our own 5th Grade Student Council Green Rep and Gator will be on hand to pass out participation stickers and stamps at various locations around school. Keep up the routine every Wednesday –or even more often– whenever you can!

Congratulations to Ms. Dina Moll!

Grand View loves Ms. Dina Moll, who was honored recently as Grand View Teacher of the Year and the Gator Run Queen. Principal Doyle presented Ms. Moll with her plaque, tiara and flowers at the Grand View Courage Assembly on June 12. Ms. Moll is a kindergarten teacher at Grand View, and we couldn’t be more excited for her. Way to go, Ms. Moll!
