New Mural at Grand View

Thank you to all the artists both young and old who came out to make their imprint on our new upper playground mural! We look forward to many years ahead of admiring this joyful beauty  created by our very own Gators, along with artistic guidance from Kid Wiseman. Thank you to Gator parent, Patricia Johnstone, for capturing our art in action through her very talented photographic eye. Love the design? Apparel available for purchase, so you can rock the new mural design.

Morning Mindfulness

mindfull_yogaTuesday Mornings: 3/7, 3/14. 3/21, 3/28: The Character and Wellness Committee is pleased to continue offering some mindfulness to Grand View through the month of March!  We are offering Morning Mindfulness with Joanie to any student in grades 3-5.   Joanie Plake, a former elementary teacher, current yoga instructor and owner of Breathe and Learn, will be leading the sessions.  The goal of Morning Mindfulness is to help students start their day with a healthy mind and attitude.  Through breathing exercises and mindset activities, students will learn to simply be present and prepare for the day ahead.  With practice, these skills will hopefully not only help in the morning, but eventually carry over into their daily school and home life.  Please encourage your children to come by and check it out!

Morning Mindfulness with Joanie
Time:  Tuesdays in February 7:45am-8:05 am
