Walking School Bus

Become a Walking School Bus Volunteer ONLY ONE HOUR a week!

What is a WSB?  WSB is a group of children walking to school with one or more adults.

Benefits:

  • Increase student safety
  • Reduce traffic around campus
  • Valuable lessons about moving naturally for students & the community
  • Reduce financial & time constraints for parents
  • Helps cut down on tardiness

Volunteer Responsibilities:   Walk a designated route at a scheduled time/day, picking up pre-registered children along this route and walking them to school safely. The time commitment is only a minimum of 1 hour/week. You get to decide your schedule!

Where are the routes?  A route can start anywhere (even at your house), as long as it is a designated Safe Route to School.
