Extended Day Program (EDP)

EDP will be accepting 21-22 Waitlist forms from 2/8 - 2/12 at your home schools office.  If you are interested in being on the wait list, please do the following:


  1. Download the EDP waitlist form(found on the MBUSD website, select EDP from the top, then Waitlist form in side bar under Key Documents)


  1. Fill out the form and attach a $100 check made out to MBUSD (please put your child's name in the notes)


  1. Drop it off at your home school's front office.  (Please make sure to contact your home school's office for availability.  All Elementary school offices are closed to the public, but will have a location to drop off your form and check).


  1. Please e-mail a copy of your form and check to the office specialist at your elementary school, so that they know your form was dropped off.

New Distance Learning EDP Program:


Due to COVID19 and all CDC and State guidelines, our regular EDP program is not available at this time.  We are running an EDP  Distance Learning Program that follows CDC and State guidelines.  Our EDP Distance learning is available 5 days a week only, from 7:30am – 4pm.  The program follows a Learning/Zoom schedule and then an after school program when the school day is over.  Our cohorts are limited to 12 students and 2 staff members per LACDPH.  Tuition is $1550 per month and enrollment requires 1st month's tuition, as well as a 1 month deposit and a registration fee.  If you would like more information or would like to know the availability, please email the office specialist at your school site:

The Manhattan Beach Extended Day Program provides before and after school care for children attending Manhattan Beach Preschool, Pacific, Meadows, Pennekamp, Robinson and Grand View Elementary schools.

EDP offers:
  • Homework Assistance 
  • Arts and crafts
  • Nutritious snacks
  • Safe and secure outdoor play areas
  • Flexible scheduling: 5 days (M-F) 3 days (M,W,F) or 2 days (T,Th) per week, mornings and/or afternoons
  • Open 7:00 am – 5:55 pm
  • Experience, dedicated and professional staff
  • Optional Camp days
  • Summer Camp

The Manhattan Beach Extended Day Program provides a learning environment that encourages and challenges children to develop cognitive, social, physical and self-help skills that will form a foundation for learning during the elementary school years and beyond.
