***Below are drop off/pick up recommendations, especially if you are in a vehicle. We understand that if you are walking or have a sibling that you may use either of the 2 drop off/pick up gates on campus!

 

  • Drop off for Grade 3: Upper Playground Center Gate- *7:50-8am-A or 12-12:10pm-B

All grades K-3 students will enter campus through the Center Gate. Present your printed QR code or phone with QR code for check-in.

 

  • Drop off for 4th Grade Students:  Bell Avenue at Ladera. *7:50-8am-A or 12-12:10pm-B

Enter through the Ladera “Left Gate” (closest to Montessori) – signs will be marked. Present your printed QR code or phone with QR code for check-in.

 

  • Drop off for 5th Grade Students Bell Avenue at Ladera: *7:50-8am-A or 12-12:10pm-B

Enter through the Ladera “Right Gate” (closest to the PAC) – signs will be marked. Present your printed QR code or phone with QR code for check-in

 

*Drop Off Lanes are available- USE CAUTION. Walking is suggested if possible!

 

Location of Pick UP:  Walking is always suggested if possible!

  • 4th Grade–BELL Avenue- students will exit south closest to Montessori: Time: 10:40 A or 2:50 B
  • 5th Grade–Bell Avenue- students will exit north closest to the PAC: Time: 10:40 A or 2:50 B
  • 3rd Grade–East Gate Upper Campus Exit: Students will wait on the drop off path. Time: 10:40 A or 2:50 B

 

How should my 4th/5th grade child get to school?

  • Walking- preferred
  • Car drop-off- do so in the roundabout white loading/unloading zone
  • Bicycle/Scooter- walk bikes and scooters once on the sidewalk approaching the entry gates

 

If I am picking up my 4th/5th grade child by car, where do I meet them?

  • 4th grade students will be walked down to the 4th grade sidewalk/waiting area by their teacher or a campus supervisor.  They will wait in a line socially distanced from one another.
  • 5th grade students will be walked down to the 5th grade sidewalk/waiting area by their teacher or a campus supervisor.  They will wait in a line socially distanced from one another.
  • 4th and 5th grade students who walk/bike/scooter to school will leave the school grounds through their designated Ladera gate.  (“Left” is for 4th; “Right” for 5th.)

 

If I have more than one child to pick up, where do I meet them?

  • 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students CAN ONLY MEET YOUNGER SIBLINGS ON THE UPPER PLAYGROUND.  Once the siblings are together, they must exit and/or be picked up from the upper playground/parking lot.

   

Before you leave your home:

  • COVID Screening – the district will be sending information on how to COVID screen using Ruvna Health at home on your phone. You will bring your phone to show the clearance sign on your phone to Grand View staff when you arrive.
  • Mask – Students will arrive with a mask and have an extra in his/her backpack.
  • School Supplies – Bring supplies from home that will not be shared with any other students. Teachers will be sending out a specific list.
  • Water bottle – Bring a full bottle of water in a reusable container.
  • Snack – There will not be a recess, but a light snack is acceptable. Students MUST be able to open them without adult assistance. Snacks will be consumed outside while using social distancing.

 

When you arrive at school to your assigned area:

  • Welcome back! We have missed you!
  • 6-Foot Distance will be maintained at all times.
  • Masks – must be worn at all times. Masks must cover nose and mouth.
  • COVID Screening - show the clearance sign on your phone  or print out to Grand View staff when you arrive.
  • Temperature– will be randomly taken at the entrance.
  • No parents will be permitted on campus. Staff will gently and safely guide and direct students to classrooms using our pathways of travel map.

 

During school:

  • Desks – students will be seated at their desks, with a Plexiglass shield to sit behind.
  • Frequent hand washing and sanitizing will occur throughout the school day.
  • Movement breaks – there will not be recess breaks, but students will have opportunities to stretch, have a snack, and move outside of the classroom.
  • Outdoor instruction – in some cases, your child may receive instruction outside in a sheltered area that is distanced from others.
  • Restroom – students will use school restrooms one at a time. Grounds supervisors will assist in guiding students to the nearest restroom, maintaining social distancing, and encouraging hand washing.

 

School dismissal:

  • Teachers will dismiss students to parents at drop off areas- *see above.
  • Masks – must be washed before reusing again.
  • Supplies can remain at school in students’ cubby.
