About the PTA

Why Is PTA Membership So Important?

MBUSD is a Revenue Limit District. Only a small portion of our property taxes in Manhattan Beach support education. As a result, MBUSD receives roughly $10,450 per pupil, putting our funding level at the BOTTOM of the state and the country.

With YOUR generous donation to MBEF and the Grand View PTA, we aim to close the gap in funding. MBEF supports Grand View with exceptional instructors and personnel. PTA funds programs, materials, and experiences such as field trips.

Last year, your Grand View PTA spent $421.00 per student to ensure families in our community a high-quality education.

With your donation of time and money to the PTA, YOU make Grand View Great.

How Are PTA Funds Used?

Your PTA dollars fund music, theater, art, science, reading, math, history, STEAM, Student Council, and physical education programs as well as materials at Grand View.  You fund social and emotional development programs that give our kids the tools and the language to create healthy peer relationships.

You fund every single field trip, library book, Chromebook, Smart Board, teacher development training – you even buy the copy machine and the paper that goes inside.
