Gator Girls Medal in Math!

A big congratulations to Mackenzie Helms, Kayla Smith, Audrey Henry, and Charlee Rainey! These girls represented Grand View and the Girls' Adventures in Math national math competition in Los Angeles and earned medals for their top-notch performance. We are so very proud of their dedication, preparation, and teamwork throughout the process. More importantly, they had a lot of fun along the way. Way to go, girls!

Book Fair This Week

The Grand View Book Fair sponsored by Pages is this week, 5/29-5/31 (Wednesday through Friday). The hours are 8:30am-1:30pm all three days with special evening hours Thursday, 5/30, 4-7pm, with food trucks and a special read-aloud guest! During the school day, students will attend the Book Fair with their class, so feel free to send along money for your child to spend. Not comfortable sending cash with your child? Students will have the opportunity to fill out wish lists that you may refer to during your own Book Fair visit. Teachers will have wish lists for books to refresh their classroom libraries, too.

Register for the Gator Run!

Our 24th Annual Exer Urgent Care Gator Run is a wonderful community event that brings together serious runners, joyful joggers, and laid back walkers. Fun for the whole family! Proceeds from the Run support MBEF, so all MBUSD schools will benefit. If you are unable to attend the Run, please consider supporting our schools by registering as a virtual runner. The 53rd Annual Spring Fair immediately follows the Run, 8:30am-1pm. Visit to register for the run or to volunteer for the Run or Fair!

New Gate Procedures Starting April 29th

As you have likely noticed, great efforts have been made to secure our campus over the past two years. Click on the title above for a summary of our new (and old) safety procedures. These procedures will take effect Monday, April 29th. The two-page document lists the new gate schedule, Kindergarten dismissal locations, and rules about after school playground use. Thank you for your continued cooperation to protect our learning spaces and support keeping students safe while on campus.

Gators Give Back!

On Friday, dozens of Gators made sandwiches, packed lunches, and created cards to deliver to those in need in Venice. Saturday morning, a group of about fifty of us drove to Venice to hand out the lunches, cards, and hundreds of donated socks. Special thanks to David Gendron and the Manhattan Beach Rotary Club for adding 228 pairs of socks to the hundreds of pairs donated by our Gator families. Wow! The men, women, and families we met in Venice smiled with gratitude and warmly thanked us for our generosity. Our hearts were filled over and over again. Thank you for giving back, Gators!
